Flicks in the Shadows - 17/10/07

I recently held my first film festival. After calling for short film/slideshows/music video submissions, I screened them all in a dark hidden alleyway in Dunedin - and it just so happened to be one of the coldest nights of the year. Next time I'll hit the streets only Wellington!

Bicyclia 06, 2006. A follow-on from Nikau Palm Rubbish Bin, 2006. Part of Design Studies, Special Topic. Made completely from discarded bicycles. Intended for mass-production, to replace city council rubbish bins (can fit the removable bins inside), hopefully provoke some sort of envirnmental reflection in the public.

EARTH FROM ABOVE COMMERCIAL 1 - an independant production from a volunteer internship, January 2007 (1 of 2 made)

QUICKDRAW - 48hr Film Competition entry, 2006. Genre: Western. There were several conditions we had to include in the film (i.e. character names, props and script-lines). This was made in a team of at least 8 people, where I played director yet emphasised an avoidance of hierachy.

TRAMPING IN NZ - a rough 1-mintue clip for a presentation I gave on research of how trampers 'experience' NZ (Mt Sumner track). Design and Environment, 2006
